Look, I was just stating a fact. You have a MSP and that is indeed a kickass car, and you could beat my dead stock P5. Dont you feel proud. Anyway, its just a fact that if anyone who knew how to drive worth a ******* bean sprout was in the SRT, no stock mazda (MSP or otherwise) could beat it. Hell, even a stock WRX (not STi) will lose to it in the 1/4. Any of us could have our way with it in the twisties, but not straight line.

Exactly what I'm trying to say. I'm pretty confident that us P5 owners could even handle an SRT on a road course, as long as we have a couple engine mods. SRT's just handle like pigs compared to Mazdas and even 1st gen neons. Cant sppeak for second gens, but first gens are definatly a match for even our beloved mazdas

Edit: The Neon ACR is a true FWD road-racer. Almost forgot somehow. GREAT road-racing and auto-X car.

I know it won't stop, but I wish it would - call it age & wisdom.

The SRT is a great car for the measly $19.995 Dodge is asking for it - no question. The addition of an LSD is even better for Dodge owners.

Bottom line - I don't care about 1/4 mile times - neither should anyone with a Protege of ANY vintage. 90WHP Miatas (1st gen) continue to rack up SCCA titles - for REAL racing.

When the SRT displaces the Protege in SCCA competition, I'm a convert - until then, if 1/4 mile times are anyone's biggest concern buy a used T/A or Z28 and mod the s**t out of it. Simple fact - it's wasted money on a Mazda.

do you honestly think they actually gave it more power or that they are just rating it differently since everyone puts down way more than they claim, and could realistically call it a 250hp/275lb/ft car?
and i agree, they've known the 04 will have an lsd for some time, they've known the 04 was coming to canada for some time, so i don't get whats so special
