Want to do some work on my car

Hello everyone!
I go to school at American (just transferred in) and just got a 2005 Mazda 3 sedan. It's sitting at home in New York rusting in the driveway, so I'm going to bring it back with me. I live off campus with free parking.

I am looking to do some work to the vehicle, but I'm new to all of this and I don't want to mess anything up. I'm wondering if anyone from the area has the time who could help me with a few things. I would really appreciate it! I will also post a picture of my car.

I would also like to know any of your suggestions as you have far more experience with this than I do.

Hey sorry I've been slow to reply to PM's. Been really busy. But you're welcome to come down and check my car out. This weekend is no good.

What are your goals for the car? Appearance mods? Fun-to-drive mods? Handling? Speed? Sound? Is it MT or AT?

First thing I'd suggest is a sport grill, if it fits that bumper.

I was staring to worry that I was being too much.

It's manual of course....hate driving anything other...

Mostly appearance mods I would think. what would be a fun-to-drive mod?

so turns out I don't really care to paint the rims, fix the rash or cut the emblems.

so the only thing left I want to do to the car...ever... is do the hard wire. I already bought kits for the detector and gps...only the two wires need to be hooked up...anyone who is good with wiring and is willing to lend a helping hand in DC or within a decent driving distance for such a task I would greatly appreciate it!

Just want to make sure you know that radar detectors are illegal in DC (and Virginia). I'm not saying don't do the hardwire job, just be careful using it in the District.

Hey all. the only thing I am looking to do right now is paint the wheels. I know how to do it, but if anyone has done it before, I would like some assistance just to make sure everything goes smoothly.
