Hi- just installed my in dash 7" tv and also put a standalone DVD under the seat. however, i noticed a lot of interference when the car is on in the picture from the DVD. i used the A/V cables that came with it. If i get some Monster cables, will that do much to eliminate it? Am I correct in assuming the video cables are way too cheap and are the cause?

thanks

where did u getr 7 in indash from? mp3playerstore?
can you show us pictures?
thanks in advance

How do you mean interferance, what are you seeing?

The most common form of video problem is a ground loop but unlike audio its not as noticable since you can't hear it. If this is the case then check the grounds of each unit.

Also if you are having issues where the audio system, subs, seem to be dimming or flickering the monitor then wire a cap inline with all the video components power.

im seeing horizontal lines as the car RUNS. not when im just using battery power. When the car is running i get horizontal lines pretty noticeable on black, not much on white. Its probably a ground problem? BTW, i cant hear an audio ground problem, well, just barely, but hardly noticable to a teen who plays loud music :D
