the best wagon evAr..
Big article in the USA Today about the MSP.. not very glowing reviews.. anyone else see it?

Here's my favorite comment...this trait is common on almost all Mazdas:

"A weakness: The car's jerky when you creep along looking for a parking spot. There's no transition zone between some gas and no gas, so you hiccup along at 3 mph."

I think we should spam that guys email with our thoughts and comments about his story.. lol

Why is it everytime some one does a review on any car like the MSP, it`s ALWAYS done by some unappreciating old fart that should be driving an old crown vic or something?!?!:wtf:

Bah its USA today. If I want a real car review I would look at car and driver or something of the sort.

Maybe this old fart needs to know how to drive a stick!!:p

Mazda targeted 29 year old males? What garbage...

Wait, I'm 29...

my fav..
"The real disappointment is that Mazda has no version of the Mazdaspeed Protege that comes without all the "look-at-me" furbelows and has all wheel drive."

or the line
"A jitterbugging display on the radio face is a dangerous distraction, giving the sensible owner one more reason to yank the silly thing out of the dashboard and run over it repeatedly to eliminate it from the electronic gene pool and prevent offspring."

This dude needs a hobby or something. What a moron!:p

really, it's just like any stock aftermarket stereo. it's a lot like the clarion i had a few years ago. maybe old people w/ shaky hands can't push the buttons, and they need their reading glasses to see them, but anyone competant in anything electronic should have no problem, and the remote is the size of a tv remote if you need to use that.
and i like how they say it's no evo or sti, yet they make fun of the wing and other appearance things that they don't like. the evo has altezza's and a carbon fiber wing that is way bigger than the msp one, and the sti has a giant hood scoop and an even bigger wing. don't get me wrong, i love both of these cars and would have gotten one if i could afford it, but they are ricier than the msp appearance wise. and both the evo and the sti have ugly colors, that's why the make cars in more than 1 color, so you don't have to buy the gawky ones.
p.s. - i undershot the age mazda was going for by 10 years, and there's no way i would have bought a mazda if it wasn't for the msp, so at least they're right there :)

I thought that the article was right on. This car does have a childish look to it (look,we bought it and most of us here are under 30 which still makes us kids) and does feel very, very cheap.

The radio is also a pain in the ass. I have owned this car for more then six months and I still have no clue how the thing works (it has been replaced twice already, to boot).

The one point that he forgot to mention was the seats. The seats in this car, with the work that has been done to the suspension, simply suck. There is no other word for it. Mazda should have slapped on a five hundred dollar increase and slapped a pair of Sparco seats in the MSP.

You MSP people need to calm yourselves down or you are all going to have heart attacks!!!
