turbo upgrade question. help pls

So im looking to get more power. I already have 2.5 exhaust and also front mount intercooler, but i was thinking in upgrading my turbo. From my understandig stock msp comes w garret t25 ive seen people go with a garret t3/t4 is that a better upgrde? How much of a difference ? How much more psi i could run? And besides turbo manifold and downpipe what else do i need to upgrade turbo.? Every little bit of info helps please everyone thanks!*

You obviously need to do more research. This forum is a great source of information, use it.

IMO you shouldn't be concerned with upgrading your turbo until you sort everything else out.

You have to do all the supporting mods before upgrading turbos and ESPECIALLY before turning the boost up.

Agree 99% with the above posts but I will help more then saying to search......Start with EMS (#1 mod before upping boost) you can raise the boost enough to get some more power and not blow the motor and do this with the T-25. So save the money from buying the tubo and invest in internals. Some of us have ran dumb boost #'s for a decent amount of time before the stock motor blew with a good tune but some members have blown up at 10 PSI. My #1 thing I tell everyone before upping boost, upgrading there turbo........Be ready to replace the motor, even forged motors blow if not tuned.

I blew my motor at 18 PSI, stock motor running a T3/T04 turbo with EMS after 3 years......... It was my DD so I was screwed, I try to keep everyone from having the same experience as me.

You need to start with some basic stuff before you consider replacing the GT25...

I'm running 12.5psi right now with the limited amount of modifications I have listed in my sig.
