Your local car stereo shop can do the install. Maybe around $35-$40.

I was charged 100 bucks...yeah i got screwed. The guy said he would hook me up..and I was a newb w/ car electronics, so I didnt know any better and couldn't find anywhere else to get it done... He did do a good job though...but I still feel so violated..

Do a search about the warranty..There's a Federal Law about it, forgot what its called...But basically an aftermarket part can not void your entire warranty. They can void your warranty on a part of the car if the mod in question is the direct cause of the problem. For example, if you put in a turbo timer and your tranny fails, they can't void the warranty on the tranny because of a turbo timer...

But a lot of it comes down to the dealer...sometimes they can put together some pretty stupid claims and make excuses for everything...

My service manager pulled my car into the garage one time when i was there for bushings, and I forgot to tell him how to turn off the car with the turbo timer..He thought it was a cool addition to the car...but we'll see how they are with other mods down the road i guess...
