typical daily occurances while driving in gurnee:
-you WILL get cut off at least 5 times
-each one of those people that cut you off, will then pull up next to you and flip YOU off
-no matter how far away you park from a store, the biggest suv will decide to park thisclose to your car (i have run out of cards that i leave on their windshields. the cards say 'thanks for parking so close to my car asshole. next time leave me a ******* can-opener so that i get my car out)
-at every red light you encounter, leave at least 15 feet of space between you and the car in front of you. the typical gurnee asshole will be too busy talking on his or her cell phone to notice that they need to stop, and you will need that 15 feet so that you can move forward to prevent getting rear-ended
-parking is a no-win situation. either you park between cars and risk some asshole slamming his door into your car, or you park away from everyone and risk having your car serve as the shopping cart catcher because people are too ******* lazy to put them where they belong (i.e. my sisters 2003 laser blue protege es getting hit by a cart in the target parking lot less than a week after she got it)
-red lights, yield signs, stop signs, and all other traffic devices are only suggestions, as they will not be obeyed
-turn signals are also useless. and if you do use it and someone almost hits you, they will blame it on you and flip you off (see above)
-bigger is better. if their car is bigger than yours they will not stop for you. you are merely a speed bump. remember, they have to stop at starbucks before they drop the kids off at soccer practice, so do not impede their path or your car will become a colorful hood ornament.
also, the typical gurnee area child has no concept of value (because their parents buy them EVERYTHING) and may decide to use the hood of your week-old car as a chalkboard and scribble on it with a rock (i.e. my fiancees honda civic)
there is plenty more, however i am only posting a reply, not writing a novel. i will leave it at that
