Trying to buy a MS6

Well good news guys....I'm the proud owner of an MS6. I went to a third dealer in the area and told them I wanted $9000 for my MSP and the $6000 off the MS6 and they said they would do it. (After I turned them down on their first two offers for my car---1st was $6500 and the $7500). Then I explained to them again that if they wanted to sell a car today then I needed $9000 for my trade and they gave it to me. Here she is:
Sounds a tad far fetched...but if you did get this deal congrats!

That sounds reasonable.

I got 13K for my MSP and then 4500 off MSRP...so I'd consider that pretty close.

You guys think that trade in number was messed up...check this out...I couldn't believe the dealer that I bought from tried this. I had purchase a regular 6 sport this year sunroof/bose..so its an 06 it had 7500 miles on they offered 12.5k for the car...I just laughed at them..and they actually came back with 13k and said that was it...So now I'm back trying to make the deal on the ms6 gt..I wonder what the next dealer will offer me...I hate buying a car with a tradein...they always try and steal your trade (enguard)

Well I'm just trying to vent some frustration, I just left two dealers trying to buy a MS6 and neither one of them wants to more than $7000 for my 03 MSP. I will say that it has 80,000 miles but I can't see why I can't get at least $8500 - $9000 for the car. Thats all I'm really asking for it. In my eyes $7000 is a LX model. They keep giving me all these reasons (which I think are B.S.) But anyway does anyone have any suggestions on getting a little extra for my car through the dealer.

LOL i sold mine with 90k miles on it for $8000 at my dealer i traded for the cx-7 and i got 2500 off invoice price!!!

that is a good deal on the ms6 enjoy and congrats on your baby!!

Glad it worked out. You did the right thing. Most people don't care, or don't have the patience to do what you did. What the other dealers were trying to do is make good money off of your trade in. This is something they achieve most of the time, so they remain stubborn on, and set their rules. The reality is, both you and the dealership won in this sale. The other places were trying to make a nice size profit off your trade in, which most of the time they do without much fight from car buyers. You found a dealership who was focused on selling the car, and not concerning themselves with profit on the trade. Nice job and enjoy. :)
