trust ebay?

i'm sure that this has been asked, but i hope i don't get shuned for asking again, is items off ebay trustworthy? like intake, exhaust... etc.? i find great deals on intake and what not and i'm sketchy on whether or not to bid........ anything to worry about?

Alot of us here have bought the Ebay intakes and so far don't think anyone really had to many problems. It is normally best to get kits from people who run "stores" off of ebay. Though for the most parts all the sellers are good. Just check out their history and ratings etc.

For intakes you normally do not have to worry, exhaust maybe if used as it might be rusted etc. Ask for pics if non are posted. Same with anything that is used.

you can ask the question can you trust ebay because ebay itself doesnt sell you anything.

you must look at each individual seller and look at their rating. i wouldnt trust anything from anyone that has sold less than 100 items, and has less than a 95% positive feedback rating.

I have had pretty good luck on Ebay. My main rule is to check the seller's feedback! If they have negative feedback, I'd be careful of them. There's a guy who sells intakes that he advertises as "K&N", really all they are is a generic intake with a K&N filter for $90. I almost bought one, but he has a bunch of bad feedback, so I shined the guy and got a $35 OBX.
I couldn't be happier with it.

Yup like eggynatey said look for feedback and check what kind of items seller have been sold.

my friend tried to buy an alpine head unit for his car at christmas time and the guy had 16 of them for sale...??? always question these things....well it turned out that someone had hacked into this girl's account and after the info was exchanged and he thought everything was final, 2 days later the girl emailed him informing him of what happened to her account and that it was a scam......so then he had to go through cancelling his credit card and all of that bs
not trying to freak you out just letting you know...be careful!!! (wink)
