Too Much?

Hopefully this is in the right forum... God.. forum Nazis... hehe J/K.

Anyway... is 19,300 too much for a 2003 MSP with no owner and 40 miles? I might have convinced my friend to buy one.. but I want to make sure the price is right. Does that sound reasonable, unreasonable, or perfect? Or should he try to get them to go lower(dont think they will)? Thanks.

I also got to test drive the MSP for the first time today and GODDDD!!!! That was GREAT! Not really pushing it that hard but I'll just say 70 on an off ramp... on wet pavement... *drool....

I would say 40 miles at 19,300 is to much. How about you tell him to buy it for $17,500 out the door. See what they will say. Tell your friend to try to ass ram those fawkers trying to steal all his $$$$$$$.

Yep...what ever happened to the 1500$ rebate? Where's that on this one? It that's all they're taking off it then tell them to blow it hard...40mi ain't exactly short. Figure 3-4mi/test drive...that means probably 10 people have driven this thing before him...and how hard??? Yeah...tell them 17,500 or he'll go to a dealer that will give him that.

well we talked to him about the 1500dollar rebate .. and that was the price he quoted with the rebate!.... I think thats what it got worked out to....

I just bought a new MSP with 27 miles on it this past Saturday, I paid two hundred below invoice and then applied the rebate. Invoice on a 2003.5 is $19447 so that is 19247 - 1500 = $17447 plus tax tag title. I think my total was right at 19000 OTD.

well it's great to live in a place where MSPs don't sell fast. in my area they sell as fast as they get them. my dealer has sold more then 20 MSP (this includes the 2003 and the 2003.5 models)

my dealer won't sell it for sell then sticker price.

I paid sticker for mine, but I was probably one of the first in the states, and nobody drove my car. If 10 people have driven it, they should go lower.

Familia323 - 21,000 - 1500 cash back, minus another 800. 18,700 is the price I paid. Manchester Ct.

Not only does it depend on your area, it also depends on the color of the car. Orange is the most rare so it usually sells for the highest price. I'm betting the one he's looking at is a black? For whatever reason the MSP seems to be selling better in the North/Midwest so you might have to pay a 'little' more than many people here that are getting the great deals.

You also have to think about the location in which the car is being sold. For instance, a performance car in IA might be more expensive than a car in NY. From my understanding, you also are paying for reputable MAZDASPEED repair work. I live 10 miles south of DC and we paid around 19K for the car. I felt we got a good deal.

thats about how much i paid also. drive the salesman to go lower.

WOW that is sooo freakin high for 40 miles. I got mine for 19k and it only had 5 miles. Plus, the the dealership is selling tons of Speeds in Northern Va (maybe cuz they the only dealership selling that I know of) but if I can get that good of a deal for mine with lower miles, you can do the same. If you gonna pay that much with that many miles and with them saying it includes the rebate, they better be including a blow job too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got mine for $18,900 out the door with only 8 miles in Delray Beach, FL. For that many miles, it's too much. I wouldn't want one that had been driven so much anyway.
