saint im in Toledo Oh, and althought I got probably 12 inches or more, no freezing rain to do that. I parked my foxus zx3 in the road and put the mazda in the garage. My mustang used to freeze like that and I was always scared paint would come off if i opened the door, but it never did, so gather some strength and open that beyotch!
FWIW - I once filled a super soaker with hot water and used it to melt the ice on the door of my camaro enough to open it. My entire family was telling me that the window was going to shatter
go get yourself an extension cord and a hair dryer and warm it up intil the water melts off the door handle. get in and "try" to start her up. good luck though, i know how you feel since my car is outside also and I don't want to see her freeze.
(yippy) 2 hours of shovelling and scraping later, I got it free.
The door actually came open pretty easy. But I had to crawl through the back hatch of my jeep this morning.
Oh, and I'm in Columbus... Ice and snow everywhere. And they haven't done JACK SQUAT to the roads yet so I dunno if I'll be home for Christmas. boo
