^Thanks. I'll have to wait and see how much I get back from my school reinburstment from work. That will be the ultimate factor in decided which set of pads I'll go with. I really need to get a trunk mount battery setup too. My battery is held in by a ratchet strap to the base and upper strut bar (ghetto I know), but the OEM battery base was broke when it was totalled before I bought the car. Quick fix that works for now, but I would like something a little bit more functional and looks better. That way when I open my hood and others around they don't shake their head back and forth and ask why?

I got a flat tire and just noticed it this morning. I must have ran something over yesterday on my way home because the tire was almost completely flat this morning. It looks like I ran over a nail and then there's like a staple or metal shard, which caused a gash in the tire about 1 inch long. It looks like the gash isn't completely through, just through most of the tread. Also, it's on an angle, but I'm not sure which object is causing the air loss yet. I'll have to take a better look when I get home from work. Luckily, my dad works from home and let me take his car to work. Hopefully, this can just be plugged or repaired. If not, I'll have to buy a new tire, which is going to kill my bank account because I can only find the tire at 2 different sites, one for $243 and the other for $302!!! I originally got these tires on tire-easy.com for $88 each, but they no longer have these in stock because they're probably an older model.
The tires only have 5000 miles and 2 HyperDrives on them. Would I have to purchase 2 tires so each side matches, or can I get away with just 1 new tire?
I really hope I don't have to spend more than $200, if I do, I might have to back out of Lime Rock for lack of money

How much tread is left on the tire you might have to replace? It's probably better to replace 2, but unless they are soft summer tires 5k probably hasn't worn too much tread away.

Hmm...well I just remembered that I measured the tread this weekend and the front tires have about 6/32" and the rear have 7-8/32". Also, the tire that got punctured was in the rear. So I think I can get away with buying 1 tire, then rotating it and the other rear tire to the front. I'm not sure what depth the tires come with, but 7-8/32" is pretty closer to new than the front tires are. So I guess it's a good thing I didn't rotate my tires this weekend. I was actually planning on rotating them this week lol.
I'll also check out how much it will cost for 2 new different tires, but personally I don't like that idea for 1 reason: Un-even traction between the different tires. Plus, I think it might actually cost more to do 2 tires because there's also the cost of mounting/balancing 2 tires instead of 1.

If you're rotating the new tires to the rear, there is no gearbox to worry about. That thing is FWD not AWD correct?
Correct, FWD. The only thing is that the tires currently on the rear have between 1/32" to 2/32" more tread than the tires currently on the front because I didn't rotate them last oil change. The rear driver tire has between 7/32" and 8/32" and the rear passenger tire has about the same, but is the flat one that might need to be replaced. Does anyone thing the 1/32" to 2/32" difference between the read driver tire and a new tire would be too much to put them on the front?

8 owners...in my opinion, i'd steer clear of that car...who knows how all those people treated it? it's got stickers and s*** on it, so you know they ran it hard....

That car is 30 seconds away from throwing a rod. Avoid at all costs.
If I'm not mistaken, I think it may just be title transfers, which can be lien's, dealerships, or legitimate owners. Of course, I could be wrong, this is just my understanding.
