tell me if this makes sense

im gonna get the car sat but tonight i went to one of the local dealers to see what kind of deal they would make for me...

they saud they would give me 14000 for my trade which is what a couple of the other dealerships said they would give me..

also the 1500 rebate

i owe 10000 on my car so 14000-10000=4000 for down payment

4000+1500(rebate)=5500

my mom is going to put it in her name so my apr should be around 5-6%

with that in mind if they dont take anything off the price of the car im only gonna finance 16000 + tag

for 60 months with out my apr my payments should be around 270
the dealer had my payments around 370 ( he was a dick)

im gonna check out a different dealer and see what they say in the mornin but overall im hoping to pay no more then 18500with everything and have the same down payment of 5000

18500-5500=13000
13000/60= 217 plus whatever my apr is


my question is, is that to much to ask for??
most of the dealerships in south florida are dicks...

any info on this will help thanks for everything

just tell them you dont want it, and they will start to bump down

keep in mind, as a general rule of thumb, that for every 1000 dollars you will pay approx 20 in payments...thats just a general rule and there are many factors, but when i sold cars thats what we generally told people

Nope, if you're willing to stand tough and put up with their BS for a couple days, I'd say what you're asking is fair. Just start mentioning all the problems with this car to them -- they'll know about them even though they'll surely deny it.

4000+1500(rebate)!=5000 -- try 5500
