and I got 0% for 60....but I had to cough up $3000! My payments are only going to be $275 because of that, so that's also a bonus. Man...0%, I had no idea I could qualify for that. Makes me feel all grown up...well, I am 28. I'm not grown up until I'm 30 :p

Watch Out

I bought my car four weeks ago at 0% then two weeks ago they took my car back and said I had to take 4.9%. Dealers suck (I'm only 21)

If you signed the contract cant you just not bring the car back and tell them NO,,, you signed at 0% ...????

If you have a signed contract for 0% then you need to go after them, if both parties signed it then it is binding.

They told me I could give the car back and lose my $3000 deposit or take it at 4.9%. I have three contracts (two 0% and one 4.9%) and two pink slips for my car (two plates too). Think I have a shot at some litigation?

the 0% promo is a great deal. i wanted the p5 regardless of how much it costed. then come to find out i qualified at the age of 21, man i was excited. like emkay said, it makes you feel like a grown-up.

I just bought mine on wednesday, and I'm picking it up on monday. I've been worried about this all week. I just thought things went way too smooth at the dealership. I got the car at a great price on the S plan, and they told me I qualified for 0% financing. This is a common scam they pull. They knew you didn't qualify for the 0% when you first bought the car. But they told you you did to encourage you to take it. The contract you signed actually has a clause in it saying that the deal isn't final until your credit is approved. How did you put your deposit down? If you gave 'em a check, it will be a little difficult to get back. If you paid by credit card, drive back there, drop the car off, and tell the dealer to shove it up his a$$. They will be pretty pissed about having to sell a car that has a few hundred miles on it, and has been registered with the DMV once already.
I won't take the car until I have the coupon book in my hands. That's when it is final.

Same thing happened to me, only this was 6 months ago before they allowed 0% for the p5. The special rate then was 4.9 and they told me that they'd give me 4.9% for 60 months, so I signed the contract because I qualified and I had the car for a week... then they called my house and said that 4.9 was for 4 years instead of 6 years. I was furious because when I first went to buy the car they told me I could get it for 0% and when we negotiated a price....after 4 days of visiting the dealer.... they came to find out that 0% was just for a regular protege and that 4.9% was for the protege 5. So anyways I told them that either I keep the car for the price and rate we agreed or I'd give it back to them and they could give me my trade in vehicle back. They gave me it for the contract price and that was the end of that. I don't plan on getting another car from them. There are no good dealers that I have been to and I have moved around this country 20 times and am only 20.

You have other options than the one's the dealers give you. Don't listen to them they are in it to make money they could give a flip about you. See a lawyer!!!! Believe me, then I'd complain to mazda or the better business bureau, and let everyone know how bad the dealer is. When something is good a person will tell 2 people, but when something is bad a person will tell 20!!

Good luck with it.
