Synthetic blend oil?

Hey guys, i searched as much as i could, and didn't really find much. It's about time for me to do my first oil change on the P5 i bought in March. I've changed my own oil for the last 10 years, but i've never had experience with a "synthetic blend." On the maintenance records i received when i purchased my car about 4 months ago, it stated the oil was changed with a synthetic blend. I'm just curious if anyone else out there is running a blend, and if so, what oil are you using? I was thinking of just going full synthetic. Car's got about 120K on the clock, is bone stock, and had a huge service done right before i bought it (Timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket etc,) and i just replaced the plugs, wires, and coils myself about 2 months ago.

My apologies if this has been brought up before, but, as i said, the search function didn't turn up much.

Thanks for any info.

I'm not nearly as stingy about my fluids as 90% of the people on here but I've been using quaker state defy with no problems. However I only really use it because it has good reviews around the web and it's usually on sale.

i personally am a castrol fan. i use castrol edge synthetic motor oil and all fluids i can castrol, they seem to last longer and the oil seems to keep the car running cleaner from what i have noticed. but everyone has their own brand of oil and just about any name brand oil these days at the right change interval will work in our cars just fine, as our cars do not require anything super special, just 5 or 10w 30 and a good filter.
