My bud at work has a mid 90's N/A MR2 with an aftermarket intake and a Greddy exhuast and I kicked his ass. Of course I have had 4 months to get used to the car and I am at 11lbs.
I still like the MR2 though.
Just get your launch down, tune your car, and take him out.

Just make sure that if you race him again, you're going to beat him and hopefully convincingly. If you think it's bad now, just wait until he can say "I beat that punk once and he begged me to race again, so I did and I beat him again. Hahahaha stupid crappy proteges!" That cements his case and makes you/"us" look worse, if such a thing were what you're worried about.

Check your hoses you had as much trouble as I did with those stock piece of s*** lines. I was getting boost leak really BAD!

LAunch around 3k to 3500 rmps. Dont just dump the clutch, feather it out a bit, and BAM, killer 60 ft times, and youll whomp his ass like Dirk Diggler did to that little blonde on Skates.

I didnt have my boost controler at the time... now I do.. 10psi steady all day.. no leakage.... I'll race him again this weekend Im sure... settle the score once and for all... no problem..
