steering wheel fitment?

does anyone know what steering wheels fit on a 99 protege? the foam is coming off of mine and I am debating either purchasing a miata wheel or something equivalent, but I dont want to buy one that doesnt fit. same spline count or no? or should i just buy aftermarket? and I am aware of the airbag issue if I go aftermarket.

any wheel from a mazda made from the early 80's up till like 02 will fit. the spline never changed. even the rx8 uses the same spline. but the mazda6 and mazda3 is different.

so like escort, mx3, protege, 323, 626, probe, mx6, millenia, rx7, and so on

I wouldn't use a steering wheel from another model with the airbag activated anyways. Every airbag is designed to work in a specific vehicle.

screw the airbag. get a momo or personal and pair it off with a works bell hub adapter!
