Can someone explain how hard it is to install the MBC and also i was wondering if i should get the FCD and FPR? if i get all 3 of them do i need anything else like spark plugs to work in conjunction with these items. my car is stock right now and i dont know practicly anything about tuning it. also can someone please explain this paragraph for somebody like me who is a rookie. Basically i just want to know if i can f anything up by using this.

no pic yet Fuel Cut Defenser for the Mazdaspeed Protege....$60 shipped
This unit will allow experienced tuners to run in excess of 10 psi without hitting the dreaded airflow-based "fuel cut". It has been tailored to help smooth out part throttle driving along with utilizing an adjustable boost pressure sensor/switch to only activate the "2nd stage" of the modification while under boost. Since it is user adjustable, you can set it to come in sooner or later if necessary!!! Please email tech@joepmbc.com if you have any questions concerning this product. While the product alone cannot harm your motor, it will allow you to run more boost than deemed "safe" for an otherwise stock car (if you choose to do so) which can and will lead to engine failure!!!

Thank you very much to whoever has time to respond to this!!!!

If you are looking to buy one, I've got one that I won off this forum that I have no need for (ie. never used). PM me if interested.

do you have the joep mbc yet?, it only takes 10 minutes to install 1/2 hour tops for someone who doesn't really know what they are doing, there is a thread on here from a member that shows how to intall it. It is really easy. I have the mbc and the FPR and I'm looking to get the FCD whenever I get some cash together.

Whatever you do be careful on how much boost you are running, before you buy the MBC buy a Boost gauge many companys sell them. Greddy, Autometer, And another thing it is well worth it:D

i've always thought of asking this, but since this is MBC related i want to ask.......
Is it possible to turn OFF boost completey with Joe P's mbc?
Not that i'm going to do this, i want to know if it's even possible. I think it would be interesting to drivng a MS w/o boost, but with the complete suspension set up.:)

The Joe's MBC acts as a flow restriction inorder to build up boost pressure. I.E. no MBC or the MBC all the way open results in original boost pressure. The only way to run w/o boost in a MSP is to bypass the turbo completely on its hot and cold sides (turbine and compressor respectively). A very bad idea since the MSP ecu is expecting boost to come on as you push the gas.

So in other words no, you can't turn the boost off.

ohh right..i forgot about MP3's....
either way..........i just want to know if it's possible to turn OFF boost still

there is NO way to turn off boost... well.. none that doesnt involve removing the turbo.... or causing massive damage to your engine.
and if you want to turn off boost, then you dont need a boosted car in the first place. :D

edit: this was your 1st post, so you get some slack, but in the future.. use the SEARCH BUTTON. this is a HUGE forum, and more than likely any question you have has been asked before.. probably multiple times. Go back and find those threads, and read up :)
Enjoy your MBC, its a breeze to install.
