I thought the clunk usually comes from sway bar bushings?...could be wrong though...The rear sway bar on MSPs/MP3s is more notorious than standard proteges...My p5 just started clunking like crazy in the front left, but still nothing from the rear...and thats the factory bushings from 11 years ago...
my front seems to have 'walked' a little to the left (driver's side), but its hard to tell for sure...and this seemingly happened while the car was up in the air haha?...i heard no noise at all, then put it up for a week for a cam install fiasco...then clunked like crazy immediately after i was driving it again...in either case, the endlinks seem very tight and fine...i can't get any noise or slop to come from either front endlinks...but if i grab the bar and push/pull on it with the front in the air, there seems to be a little play in it...
yea as far as i was concerned its due to the bushings going bad in the sway bar. you can purchase a set of energy suspension sway bar bushings which are greasable. just service them every 6 months and viola! simple and effective solution to the clunk. and having clunk fix brackets dont hurt either.
