So a while ago, I was simultaneously getting a Cyl 2 misfire and lots of smoke at startup. The compression test said I needed a valve job, so I shelled out $900. No more hesitation, but there is still a ton of smoke when I start the car.
isnt this usually caused by bad valve seals? It seems like they would have at least checked the seals during the valve job, right? What do you guys think? Did they do an incomplete job? Im really trying to figure out if I need to yell at someone, or if this smoke could be caused by something else.
