small moonroof

Certainly...

For sure it's small, but that way is already producing a lot of wind noise at just 45 MPH, so I don't want to imagine how it would be if it was bigger...

And no, I don't like the wind deflector... it cuts the car lines in a weird way my taste doesn't like.

Later,
FEDE.

sunroof

Hey,

Yea, It is small compared to just about all the others out there. And mine makes creaky popping noises in the summer...Maybe Mazda did the smallness to keep structural integrity strong.

Although,,,,,I saw a P5 just the other day that looked like it had a factory "ragtop" sunroof in it. It was parked at a shopping center close to my car and man!!!!,,,,it looked cool! It was about the same width as our moonroofs but it went all the way back towards the rear seat. I shoulda left a note to find out about it but was in a hurry. I did peek inside and it was insulated as well like a true factory job.....Very cool!

it doesnt go as far back as most, however it is wider. my fiancee has a civic and my moonroof is wider than hers.

Yes, the sunroof is about the smallest one I've ever seen that slides. It's better than nothing, though. When I'm inside the car the sunroof seems large enough; it's only when I look at it from the outside that it looks a little funny in relation to the long roofline of the car.

p5 Moon roof

My buddy here in Knoxville Tn has a pimpd out white P5 and he put in a custom sliding ragtop that goes all the way to the back seats its a black top and its neat since you cant see it untill you get right up to it its PHATTTT

The moonroof is kind of small, but my biggest problem with it, is that it wasn't tinted. On a hot summer day, it used to give me a farmers tan on my head. When I tinted the rest of my windows, I also tinted the moonroof and it makes a HUGE difference in the summer.

yeah i had mine tinted but I was told with it being tinted and direct sunlight hitting it with the windows up will make it explode ???????? I have never heard of that but of course the guy who did it told me after it was done and i paid for it

I've had mine tinted for about 2 years and haven't had any problems with it. Sunroof glass is designed to take the direct heat. Many car manufacturer's have tempered glass sunroofs as standard equipment.

Residential windows in houses/buildings will thermally fracture (crack) if the window film is not correct for the application.

if it was really likely to explode, i think he would have obligated to tell you before he did it. my fiancees civic has a tinted moonroof and i like hers way better. i dont even open my moonroof in the summer because of the sunlight directly in my face.
