I was just wondering what you guys thought about this shift knob I found on ebay.

The sparco one's alright but... I bit small for my hand. Though I obviously can't feel this one, it does seem to be a bit more anatomically correct... which might make it more comfortable.

On a side note. A lot has been said about how great our cars handle. Though I definitely don't disagree with that, I do know that what we come in contact with inside the car is just as important as what our car comes in contact with on the road. Has anyone ever noticed that a car with a thicker, more sporty steering wheel actually FEELS more sporty. I actually did a psychology experiment in college on this.... there is definitely something to it. As we all know, our steering wheels kick ass. Our shifter needs improvement. Don't even get me started on our seats!! I couldn't rip them out fast enough in favor of the Sparco Torinos.

Anywayz... any feedback on this shift knob would be appreciated. I'm thinking about putting in a bid but I have no clue as to what it's worth. Secondly, I can't find ANYONE online that even sells mazdaspeed shift knobs... let alone this one. Thanks

i had the shifter on my rx-7 it's cool, it kinda feels cheap, it's lightweight, but I like heavy shift knobs that I can grip and feel.

Define Mazdaspeed shift knobs. The Sparco Techno that is on the MSP can be purchased from sparco. Also www.corksport.com has some Mazdaspeed shift knobs similar to that one that is on e-bay. Or you could find a 02.5 owner that would seel theirs, it looks just like that but is leather.

Well I dig the fact that it says "mazdaspeed" on the shift knob. (though, not in the somewhat cheesy way the 03.5's do) this one's more subtle... how much does our sparco sell for? how much should THIS one sell for?

also, my tranny kinda vibrated at idle speeds, so that probably made it feel even cheaper, but I couldn't seem to grip it as well as my stock 7 shift knob, that thing was heavy as hell. 1st to 2nd was really my only complaint about vibrations. other than that it was fine.

I don't like the shift knob we have either. It looks cool but it's a b**** to "quick-shift" with. If I ever get my lazy ass around to auto-crossing I'm definitely putting the stock black knob on.....better grip and better fit in my hand.

Something to do with the shift linkage is why the shift vibrates, at first i kinda fought with it, but now im adjusted...and it doesnt bother me.

IMO dont get this knob, its tacky.
