One of my original rims bent so I looked around and a very nice guy on here sold me a set he had painted white! Unfortunately one of them has a hairline fracture in it for who knows what reason. They're a little dirty there, like I said earlier in the thread I haven't been up to doing a lot until recently. Anywaysss, I threw a rod a few weeks ago... OH, right beside Sonic.

if you do a search on car-part.com, there are a few fsdes in the area. idk if youre looking for the whole motor or just the block.

thanks, it a work in progress just like everyone else's...lol. But just like BRIAN_MP5T said, look for a 2001+ fsde from a 626 or protege, even a probe. They are all the same.

it doesnt have to be from a mazdaspeed. any 2.0L.. even from an AT

This is what JDMSam states on his forum.

"The MSP cam gears, cam sensor, ignition coils, knock sensor, valve cover, intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, main bearing support plate, oil cooler, cooler o-ring, oil filter stud, coolant hard lines, oil lines, and turbo assembly must all be swapped over to a non protege FS donor engine.

The only engines that are easily compatible are 00-02 626 2.0L engines.
DO NOT USE 93-97 MX6/Probe or 93-99 626 FSDE 2.0L. The designs of these older engines are inferior and require a lot more things swapped over to work properly."

The cam gears are interchangeable... the MSP ones are a bit lighter...

The Oil Cooler and Windage tray must be moved over..

Is that too many dollars? Seems reasonable to me depending on what shipping is, or it says shipping is free to an automotive repair shop, so I would just ship it to one and go pick it up there I guess.
