rust question

Guys,

I brought my P5 in to an anti rust place to get it oil sprayed, and afterwards got warned that mazdas are very prone to rust under the inside of the doors. I was told to rip out those plastic white clips that hang inside the bottom of the front doors because they hold moisture in. Have any of you heard about this? I dont want to rip them out for nothing.

The body is warrentied against rust for 10 years, don't worry about it.

Compared to POS Dodge / Chevy / Chrysler trucks that fasten the side panels with screws that fasten them in and rust out within 2 years, I wouldn't worry to much.

Those things are made so moisture wouldn't go inside doors, only air for vetilation puproses. Don't rip them out!!!

Holding on the back door sills, I was almost positive they were?

OH on the doors, I thought you ment the door sills.
Oops my bad.

NOpe, none on the rear doors.
Its the white clips with a black top basicly on the back side of the main door metal, right?

yes!

I was told to rip those out because water cant leak out of the doors...i'm skeptical because someone on this thread told me not to.
