Rear Windows

:
2005 Premium White Pearl RSX Type-S
Has anyone taken the rear doors apart to see if it is possible to make the rear windows go all the way down? I would assume that there is just a rubber stopper in the way of making them go all the way down. The inside of the back doors have screws on them, but I'm just a little timid about taking the door apart on my car. Any help would be appreciated.

it can't be done
the shape of the door is what limits how far the window can go down

Hey guys, the mazdaspeed must be different than the P5... I have a 2002 P5 and my rear windows go all the way down. Interesting....

please note........

The Neon has crank rear windows..........(rofl) Oh; Has that been mentioned before? My Bad!!!!! (chair) (puke) (chair) (puke) (chair)

Sometimes.. I crack myself up!!!! (lol) (laugh) (lol)

All sedans must be different then because my MP3s windows don't go donw all the way. I don't think its the doors but the track that the windows run on that is the limiting factor. You would have to rebuild the track system. Just a guess though.

I know i can be obnoxious but hes just trying to get you guys to laugh some, no harm intended. Although I knew EXACTLY what was going to be there when I saw his name (thumb).

i used to have a neon. not mine, my parent's, but it was the kids' car. and i gotta give it praise (bowdown). that thing lasted through 4 beginner drivers (it was a standard) and got me where i wanted to be. then my parents let me get trade in value for it on my mp3!

Are you sure? I have a 2002 P5 too and my windows dont go all the way down. Take a pic, I wanna see..

Hey guys, sorry i don't have a digital camera, but they do go all the way down ! My kids love it, and it seems to be fine. 2 of my 3 kids are still in car seats and they still sit way below the window. I wish I had a dig. camera to take pics. My P5 is the Canadian model, maybe that is why they are different. I dunno..

there is a half of inch of glass that sticks out towards the pillar in the back window the P5/MSP/Mp3/ES (from any pro that I've seen).

I'm not quite sure what this means??

But back to the windows. It might be a Canadian v. US thing. I was under the impression that there was a law n the US to keep rear windows from going all the way down. I don't know of any cars built after maybe 89 that had rear windows that go all the way down. I sure could be wrong though.

Yeah! about a 1/2 inch...

If some of you remember back; and I guess, even now; many American sedans had rear windows that only partially went down for child safety.

Fine Tex, make me look like I've lost my mind. LOL I was totoally distracted half way through my post and accidentally hit "submit" not paying attention. It's all better now and should make sense, unless I actually am insane(silly)

If anyone does have a back window that rolls down completely let's see a pic;)

my parents had a 1986 ford taurus wagon, windows didnt go all the way down in the back. her 1997 lumina windows also dont go alt the way down.. 1991, and 1997 accord also wouldnt go all the way down
I believe its a child saftey law.

Hold on, I'll go take a pic. There is only a very small amount that doesn't go down on mine. Gimme about 5 minutes.

mine look like yours ky, if only the other 1/2 inch would go down it would be better, but its gooood that way anyways
