rear lisense plate

i don't know if anyone else has this problem, but the mount for my lisense plate is only mounted on the top, so it rattles really bad especially when i close the hatch. its been really bugging me. i went out and got one of those Bell ones that every place has but it didn't line up w/ the existing holes correctly and i didn't wanna drill new holes.

Yeah, mine is the same. It used to bother me but I got over it. I thought about using double sided foam tape on the bottom, but I never tried it.

i took my license plate holder off and drilled new holes in my license plate

I just put some rubber tape kinda stuff on the back of mine, it was annoying as hell with my subs on.

double sided tape on back side of license plate and between plate and frame did the trick for me.

I also used the foam tape and have a zoom zoom license plate frame that holds the bottom of the plate still.

Now I need to tackle my wing and bumper and stop them from rattling.

Yeah, please don't drill holes in your car. Drill the plate first as stated above. When I bought my car the previous owner made some DIY brackets to fit the existing holes in the car and then the plate mounted onto the bracket. I should post some pics of it. Only mod I did to them was prime and paint them so they wouldn't rust. I made mine "hover" off of the back hatch with some washers so it doesn't rattle, and it doesn't strike the paint when I close the hatch.
