Mazda Protege LX 2003
I have a 2003 Protege LX only thing I have done is put in an alpine headunit. I have a 6 month old so money is tight as you can imagine. But I would like to do some work to my car. Now I am a complete rookie to this so any tips before I waste any money.
I was looking at a Weapon Dragon Intake
Making my emblems into the Evil M
And getting a set of black rims with a blue lip (which I have yet to find)

So what else would make my car look nice and drive nicer?
Also does anyone know the exact color blue my protege is I need to touch up some scratches and nothings worse than different shades.
BTW I have 136000 miles on it so is it even worth it?

I would appreciate the help!

color code should be on the data plate inside the driver side door next to the little button that kills the door chime. Suspension work is always a plus, springs or coilovers, more than likely springs since you said money is tight. Swaybars and front/rear strut bar. For power, Im sure you probably don't want to do any major work so boosting it probably out of the question. You can look at getting a MP3 ECU, header, exhaust to go with the intake you mentioned and a set of FSZE or corksport cams...pretty much the same thing.

Honestly at 136k miles with tight money and a newborn, is it worth it? No.

Is it an auto or manual? Now if you really want to do some work on it then it depends what you are looking for. Dont expect to make it a fast car for cheap but it can be fun to drive with just a few suspension mods starting with strut bars and new swaybars. Now if the car has rust then I would avoid trying to remove suspension stuff that could give you a major headache. You can also put in headers and change the exhaust, the MP3 ecu will give you a nice power curve and a little extra kick but then you have to use premium.

I kinda figured too many miles to do major upgrades still would like to do something to beef it up..how much would the exhaust and headers run me? Also it is a manual

I can't afford rims atm so what is your stance on plasti dipping my rims? I would.like to do it to my emblems and I stumbled across people plasti dipping their rims

Plastidipping the rims could be a great idea. Should take around 5-6 cans to fully do them with a few good coats.

For the lip, I got someone that is selling the front oem one for 250$ with the brackets. Lmk if youre interested.
