That's funny. The CX-9 exhaust does look pretty simple. If no aftermarket exhaust gets made, a trip to a local custom exhaust shop (with a good reputation) should be able to install louder mufflers. The hardest part would be getting the OEM tail-pipes on the new mufflers, but that should be possible.
It is .. Does anyone what size is outlet of our stock exhaust? 2.25, 2.5? You can always find a universal exhaust with the same measurements (magnaflow, borla) and weld the stock tips back on.
I would be interested in any aftermarket exhaust, I have talked to CorkSport about R&Ding one...but like you said (they need more people calling them up and requesting for one to be made). They have one for the CX-7, so why not the CX-9 and kill 2 birds with 1 stone..
I would def put on a louder exhust...I am now also looking into it..I love the stock tips but def want more sound...If anyone does put one on plz let us know or put up a video on youtube..
that cx9 on youtube sounds horrible.......I want a deeper sound but doesnt have to be so loud like that video.....
I was looking at videos of the BMW X6,...WOW! Cool if i were rich and single.....I have kids but also, would like some sound
you could do a borla Xl if you wanted some more sound upon getting on the skinny pedal. With it being a v-6 id only consider a borla or Magnaflow muffler. In my past experiences with vehicles these are the only mufflers that have given a reasonable sound to the v-6 tune. I still think id want to hear it first before I bought, and yes the no muffler cx9 sounds like doody.
I think the video is kind of "for fun" and not really intended to be a serious consideration. Different mufflers is really all it would take to get a deeper sound.
