It's easy to use too much wax/polish. Remember, only a small amount remains on the car so cut back on how thick you put it on. Plus, it's easier to remove.
Agree. A good wax will go a long way with a little bit.
I use Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. Liquid. Put a little on the pad and I can do half the hood. It stays slick for months, too, being a polymer wax.
Pink eraser to remove any residue from the plastic, followed by a dressing.
Turtle Wax Ice. Its a synthetic liquid polish, and absolutely leaves nothing behind but shine. Like all liquids, we'll have to use it more often, but you won't spend half your time trying to get white streaks off the black trim! It does a great job on my Stormy Blue.
I got it at Advance Auto Parts, but everyone probably carries it as a Turtle Wax product.
i use Meguires products on all my cars
if you use Green tape on all the trim edges that you dont want wax on then there is no risk of residue collecting on it or any wax smears that turn white later.
I just used this today for the first time and I am impressed! A little bit goes along way and the dust is virtually nonexistent. I think I shook out my removing rag only about 3 times for the the whole car.
Better yet, your hands don't feel grimy afterward.
