"Pilot" light near overhead moonroof switch issue (2021 CX-9)

New-to-us 2021 CX-9. All's good except there's an annoying little white light in the center overhead console, near the roof switch. Seems like a minor light but when it's dark out it is annoyingly bright. Any ideas how to switch that off? I'm thinking black duct tape.

menu settings - interior light - turn it off. Its called ambient light or something like that.

I unplugged mine.

If you still want the ambient light (like in the doors) and only remove the roof one that’s the way to go. I posted instructions for my 2018 here. It should be almost the same for a 2021
