*pants* I need to do TWO MORE STEPS of meguair's waxing?/

I thought the same thing and to be honest mequires gave me no rain protection. Within 2 weeks the water wasn't beeding any more.

Mequire 3 step system.
I only put it on a month or so ago.
I have to check in with AGR to see what he did again. He is the resident mequires expert.

Use a little Maguire's Quick-Detailer before you start tomorrow, just to pick up any dust/crap that gets on the paint. It acts as a lubricant for the paint, so anything that gets wiped off won't scratch your car. That way you can finish the job tomorrow! :)

well, i am parking it in the garage today so there will only be some minor dust that i can pick up with my soft cotton mit. quik detailer might be good too.

I am going to wax for the first time some day this week. I have Zyml cleaner wax. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

Zymol worked AWSOME for me on my MX-6 I should have stuck with it.

I totally agree with that. Tried Meguires Gold Class 1 time and it was crap IMHO. I've gotten the best results from Rain Dance (hard to find that now-a-days) and the new Rain-X car wax. Both work good for me.

I thought I was the only one that thought this stuff was over rated! It may be very gentle on your finish but the frequency that I have to use it is rediculous. I like the detailer but the gold classwax is nothing special. It lasts one rain or maybe two :(

Wow, glad I said something, seems we all have had the same issue with it.

I have used a lot of different waxes, just tried the Meguiar's carnuba, and the bead doesn't last at all !

I've washed my car twice since i waxed, and the water pools, doesn't bead.

I know beading isn't the best thing, but it sure looks cool. Plus it kinda tells you when you need to wax next.

Has anybody ever use ther mothers three step wax. It's the best wax I have used to date. The only bad thing is that it is hard to find in my area.

I use mothers, still a lot of work though. I want to try zaino but the funds my not allow it this year since I'm buying the speed. And Zaino is hard to get in Canada.

I agree with whoever said
Zaino Zaino Zaino...I have yet to have it stop beading on me...I do a thorough 3-4 step process each spring and fall...when it rains the car almost cleans itself...I went for 3-4 weeks of rain after this springs rains (constant) and just washed it last night..It didn't even really need it...when it gets dirty, a quick wash and dry, some Z6 spray on and wipe, and its good to go for another few weeks.
Try it. Its expensive, but damn well worth it...(I'm cheap too)

How much is Zaino?

I just waxed my car with Mothers the other day...the harder stuff in the can, not the liquid. I figured it'd last longer. Any else use this stuff?
