This is probably old news but...
I just got my 5 on March 6th and have noticed quite a bit of vibration in the steering wheel and seat when the car is driven on the highway after sitting overnight in the "cold" (for Vancouver!), say under 10 deg. C. I also get vibrations in the steering wheel around 100 km/hr, at any temperature.
It sounds like the tires are flat-spotting overnight. I did some searching and found that some Toyos have nylon in them and that this is known to cause flat spots? Has anyone got any relief from this, short of changing tires? Not something I want to do on a vehicle with 800 km on it!
The 100 km/hr sounds like a tire balance issue which I am getting checked out on Friday. The tires are 205/55R17 size.
Thanks!
