What genius though to put something metal on the shift knob so when its hot out you cant even touch it :wtf: now my hand hurts, it looks like i got branded like a cow! (argh)

I know your pain. I used to have a pair of black on black Oakley's. Sitting in the car all day when it is 90 will make them hot. Put them on and burnt off the skin on the bridge of my nose.

in winter, my old metal shifter had ICE on it. it froze!! :mad: it was funny and FREEZING at the same time!!! I heated it up with my breath. werd.

I just keep a pair of nomex gloves in more car for such times, cause that thing gets real hot in the sun.

Sorry that was immature i know but I could not stop laughing had the same problem on my Honda when I lived in Alaska -30F was a b**** in the morning. As for keeping it cool just buy a reflective sun visor and some tint for side windows and it will be straight.

I'm going to make a little condom looking sock thing to go over it LOL and keep the sun off the metal. My grandmother is a seamstress for a living, so she can whip up a little leather cap, with matching stitching for me in no time. Maybe I should mass produce these "knob condoms" lol (hmm)

ehh get weight lifting gloves..theyre just as good as "racing" gloves, and alot cheaper... or have your grandma produce a couple "knob condoms" post a pic and i might buy one
