We retired my wife's old van yesterday for a 2013 GT Mazda 5. She is super happy as she got the red color with all of the other fun goodies. I will take a peek around on it to see what parts we have from the 3 that fit it over the next few weeks and post up what I find.

Don't stop there. Come up with something unique for the 5..... I need a bolt on catback exhaust like STAT. And congrats on the new ride.

Corksport updating their parts lineup for the 5??? NICE! Keep us posted :)

Awesome! I really like the one my wife drives, though from a styling aspect I like the old design better. A short shift kit would be awesome since after driving my 2 with the CS shift kit the throws on the 5 seem very long. Too bad your wife got the automatic though.

I certainly wouldn't mind a larger front swaybar option since lowering will not be an option on hers.

You are in luck. James Barone Racking makes a short shift kit for the Mazda5 (all years). Also the Mz3/MS3 aftermarket front sway bars fit the <’10 Mz5 and I’m betting they will fit the +’12 too. You can look up the part numbers of the stock <’10 Mz5 vs. +’12 FSB to make sure they are the same (fitment, not diameter as that may have changed), which I am fairly certain they are (unofficially).

You a big fan of understeer?

No, I am not. I already added a larger rear swaybar. Also, I am a fan of roll stiffness and cornering speeds. If I can corner flatter and faster, I really don't care which side looses grip first because I'll already be ahead. I am also a fan of turn-in response. That being said...alignment, rear roll stiffness (via dampers or rsb), and tire pressures are some easy things that can be adjusted to counter a larger front swaybar. Thanks though.

Thanks for the info, Silentnoise! That gives me hope my wife's car may one day be almost as fun as mine.

I have the JBR short shift; really a must have if you drive lots of miles or want to drive "sporty".

Edit: I also have their RSB which is awesome.

We will not be working on any new products for the Mazda 5, there is not enough sales to justify the work unfortunately. I will be trying out some parts we have to see what works for myself more than anything and I will post up what I find.

That's the color my wife and I wanted, but we were afraid of the sand interior. I don't know why Mazda won't let us separately choose drivetrain options, exterior, and interior colors. Its dissapointing that since I wanted a 6spd and black interior, silver was the only option. Nice to see an FC in the background, I miss mine ('88 se).

My wife liked the interior color. So far it has held up to a 6 and 3 year old with some seat covers. That FC is my daily, fun car.
