Anyone got any tricks for those damn endlink bolts?

they are a PITA. either they give, or they don't. if you are just putting in new springs, you can do all 4 without removing them. if you are putting new struts in, they have to come off.....patience and time will have to be available if so.

Im just doing the springs but I dont see how its possible to get the strut out without removing the endlinks. They loosen its just the allen stud moves too. I may just break down and buy a impact wrench those things destory any bolt in its path.

^^^^

for the fronts, there is enough room for the strut to go down then you can swing the top out and work on it. you just need a second set of hands to hold it while you swap springs.

for the rear, you have to take off the 4 bolts holding the lower on the sway bar. then you will have enough roon to lower the strut and swing the top out of the wheel well to change the spring.

it was actually not that bad......much easier than i thought.

i agree i have hesitation at times but recently i seem to idle at the 1.5 k area which is a good surprise
Mine dips, but doesn't stall out. Still, it's bothersome.

So umm...I'm eating dinner now (mmm hot pockets). Before I came in I jacked up the pesky right-rear corner and did a little investigation.

Without removing the wheel or loosening any bolts I was able to reposition the spring inside the grommet where it is supposed to be. When I'm done dinner I'm off to band practice. Hopefully my ride will be quiet.

Gbourdon and I have been talking about anotehr install meet sometime in the near future before the dyno meet. Becuase I will have quite a bit more to install and so will he.....I will get the egr done this time! hahaha I will let everyone know the date when me and him decide it........everyone will be welcome again.......dunno if it will be at my place or his yet......

Chris

I'm all set with my clunk...that was it. Now I just have to put everything back together.

I'm game for another install meet since I can't make the dyno day. I don't have anything to install but I'll come help people. Where's Gbourdon live?
