funny how people assume parents bought the car. i mean its a cheap car. good thing he stopped before someone ended up dead.

Well, lets see. What's minimum wage now? $6.25?

Lets say he works part time, 20 hours a week...thats alot for a teenager but asume it averages out to that if he works on school breaks and the summer.

That's $125 a week pre-taxes...or roughly 6500 a year. To buy a brand new protege, base model roughly 10K, He would have to save every penny for a year and a half. That doesn't include insurance...which is outrageous for a new driver in a new car (for a reason...watch the movie). I suppose if his parents co-signed the loan he could swing most of the payments...but not the insurance.

Regardless, I don't know a single person who would bag groceries 20 hours a week so they could drive a brand new car...then speed around the parking lot bottoming out and let their friends ride on the roof. People I know that paid every cent for their cars babied them like it was their life line.

i know for a fact he cant afford that car as a highschool student bc i went to school full time and work 32-40hrs a week at 8bucks and i was damn proud of the crap box camaro i had, what sucked more is i was so exhausted i didnt have time to do s*** like that.

You'll notice the guy that drives the Lumina has a death wish as you can see in Go-Cart video, The Protege video, and the Car video, he is always riding on something.

He's not suicidal but he's already mentioned that he does not care if he dies. That's kind of sad, I guess.

My car's not getting ruined, your cars not getting ruined, I'm not getting hurt, and your not getting hurt. Let them do what they want to do and learn on their own.
