Did the msps come with tweeters? If so how would I go about installing them into my mp3 and where could I get them? Could I splice the wires into the door speakers?

Yes the MSPs have stock tweeters, I believe P5s and maybe Protege ES models had tweeters after 02.5 or 03. You could splice into the door speakers but you would need to filter only the high tones to the tweet, maybe with a crossover or something.

Would it be best to do the tweeter or run an amp to my other speakers? Subs drown out everything sometimes is why I'm looking into this

I would get a nice pair of component speakers with a crossover and amp them, the 200 amp internal H/U amp is easily overpowered by a subwoofer. I have the stock MSP 250watt kenwood amp with an 8" kicker (stock Kenwood sub was blown) and it can drown out my inifnity speakers when it's cranked.

I just have the stock ken woods the mp3 came with I think the rears are good for 350 max so I would assume they can handle 75 or so rms

When i added my RX8 mirrors onto my P5 i had to splice the Tweeter Speakers onto my Mirror Switch because the Tweeters and the Mirrors are plugged into the same switch. The tweeters dont get spliced into the Mirrors but they get spliced into the Tweeter Wires themselvs off of the back of the Plug. I carefully used a Utility knife and spliced the wires together and now my Tweeters work great!

I have a 2 channel 150watt kicker amp I will probably mount under the front seat to power the front speakers and tweeters, hopefully that will help. The stock speakers are getting to be really old an upgrade would probably do more good than amping them. I found Infinity Kappa speakers on ebay for like $75 a pair shipped when I got mine.

get new speakers. stock kenwoods suck. i replaced mine in my mp3 and made a world of difference. my msp i just put a set in the rear deck lid so having one 12" alpine with 6 speakers + tweeters is ultimate sound quality. of course im gonna get some component speakers for the fronts soon cause im sick of the stock. not too clear sounding.
