MSP Section

wow, it's been really cleaned up in here... i don't oppose organization or anything, but now it'll take me about 3x more time to find something. b4 this used to be my one-stop to find out the latest on the msp. now i gotta comb through all the boards to find something. hmmm no longer one click, see new exhaust, the back button, one click to see new guages. i'm not complaining, just pointing out that i (and others) will need time to adjust.

If it was done quietly, instead of mass complaints, then it would be a little (read "a ton") smoother. This is a situation for the admins and mods to sort out. I'm not sure why the hell any of us a nit-picking about it.

And if mods have a problem with a post, then tell the mod for that section, PM a nice note to the person, or just simply move it. Quick, easy, painless process...

dont fret...soon im going to be pmming enry to let me merge the threads in the performance section, so you can just search under the perf section :-)

hmm i guess it's a good idea now that i have thought about it. this organization will bring more traffic to the other forums. i almost NEVER visit the performance or suspension forums... no i might have to. good for the sponsors of those forums. j/k

Very much understood.
Keep in mind its that Fi forum that has the most turbo people to gain knowledge from. Its me in the Audio section that wil help you the most figure out why the sub isn't working.

I as a mod look there for such topics, not in the MSP section.
Also we do have the master list of active posts on the right side of the home page so you can see everything.

Also say you want a certain exhuast for your car, if you stay to the MSP section you will never read abotu the guy with a MP3 whos god damn muffler fell off with the same product.

I could go on here indefinitly. Yes finding things specific to the MSp will be a bit harder. However, only if you fail to realize there realy is nothing specific to the MSP.

I just closed a thread that was identical to one thread 3 threads down! :wtf: Come on people, I'm doing the best I can to help this whole community out. Dont make it so hard. All I am doing is sorting through the stuff that is in the wrong spots...if everyone would just start posting in the correct spots, and turn on the new thread feature, you will see all the newest threads. Please bear with me as i clean up this forum, and then ask enry to merge all the topics in the performance section that i just moved there.

AFace -
Correct. Once I move say a racing question to the racing section, you are more likely to get some expert advice from someone like darin, because i doubt he frequents the msp section...so yes, your topics will get more exposure if posted correctly!

So does this mean that the hard pipe threads, the bov threads, the t3/t4 threads, and all the other MSP specific forced induction threads that are currently in the MSP forum are going to be moved? What exactly can we post in the MSP forum? If I have a question about my tires which are MSP specific, and I assume that other MSP owners are familiar with them and they may have experinced a similar problems, why should I post it in the Tires and wheels section where I might get a response like "I don't have an MSP, but those are sweet cars.." Or other similar themes that I see around the board? The traffic in that section is low too, so I get a better response by posting in the MSP section.

BTW, How many mods are there now?

Britt

Damnit, I try to post something that I thought was somewhat constructive in another thread only to find out.

IT WAS CLOSED BEFORE I COULD FINISH MY POST.

This micromanagement thing is slowly starting to wear on me.

I agree. That's just what we need more Baby Hitlers and punk b**** over blown egos to micro-manage the site into a worthless sterile craphole.
Some of you people seem to think you are the "GOD" of the car world.
I did not see a general MSP chat sub folder in there. What if I want to speak only to fellow MSP owners and dont give a flying **** about MP3's, PR5's, or any other form of Protege period.
I come here mainly to talk trash and have a good time with other MSP owners not the condescending assholes who want to spew their brand of all knowing, all singing, all dancing UBER advice.
Oh listen to me I install radios, or I work for X performance company and I should be heard. Silence you lowly MSP owner the king has spoken.
Sheesh **** that...

I agree Britt. there has to be some care taken by the mod to the tread at hand. If the person posted something like My tires losed there tred in 4000 miles and th equestionis mostly posed to other MSP owners then I would leave it. Its all about context and where the post wil get the most useful attention instead of 33 idiotic replies that have no information on the subjest. However something like are the MSP tires good, GETS SHOT OUT OF THE MSP SECTION LIKE A MISSLE!

No I'm going to keep the MSP specific FI threads in the MSP section. As for your example about tires, in 2200+ posts i have NEVER NEVER NEVER seen that happen. Rishie will answer any question about any car. Trust me, people will help you if you post in the proper section. Some people have two mazdas like a mp3 and p5. You will get help (prolly more help) if you post in the proper section from experienced members. From what I see, most of the posts i moved this evening were from newer members...your more experienced members are going to frequent the proper boards more than the car specific boards. Please understand that car specific boards are meant for discussions about prices, rebates, car specific problems such as clunk and hesistation, etc...anything else really doesnt belong there with some exceptions...the car specific boards are not meant to be a dumpster of catch all information.

Damnit, I try to post something that I thought was somewhat constructive in another thread only to find out.

This micromanagement thing is slowly starting to wear on me.

THIS THREAD WAS CLOSED BECAUSE YOU MSP OWNERS WERE POSTING IN A THREAD IDENTICAL TO THIS ONE, WHICH WAS THREE THREADS DOWN!!!

i think some of you need anger management courses. feel free to post anywhere, and as the dilligent mod i am, ill simply move them to the appropriate forum so you lazy people dont have to. after all, you seem to think you are too good to mingle with the rest of us mazda owners. and no one thinks they are god. im trying to help other and future mazda owners.

I agree, so what if everything MSP related was in the MSP section. If you have an msp or are interested in it there is a wealth of information in one area. Looking for something in particular??? There's that nifty search feature. I understand that everyone here is just trying to help and we appreciate that, but if it's not broke don't fix it.

Then post that and it won't be moved.
Also if you think the MSp area is only posted in by MSp people then you have an amazing level of brain damage.

Yeah, we know thanks for ******* up the forum by the way (no)
Don't ask a question that is better placed somewhere then the MSP section and you won''t have to cry about it.

I am sure most of the MSP members would love for you to answer and help them with technical question then me :bs:
When it comes to specfic knowledge of audio or perfomance the model car you drive is irrelivent.

So am I suppose to magically know which one I was suppose to post in. Come on now thats pretty ridiculous. Just let it be, it's not hurting anyone that they have to see 3 threads on the same thing. Annoying... yeah maybe but hey maybe somebody wants to reply to something that they saw in there like I did.
