Prepare for a massive cleaning of the MSP side of the board.

I'm not a moderator nor am I trying to power trip but everyone, to make their lives easier, please try posting stuff in the right sections. As I first joined here, this was the only section I came to and read the posts in. However, as I became more experienced with this forum, I've found that posting in the other sections yields greater and MORE RELIABLE answers and your threads have less of chance of getting treadjacked with useless crap.

One more thing to note, I don't see vendors trolling the other sections trying to throw their products in every chance they get like a certain one here does. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Razor: I know you'll read this, get on AIM.

what is the point of having a car model specific forum if you can not post anything to deal with a particular model. Might as well be on an open forum where all models are welcome and such. I used to think this MSP forum was great for people that were in love with the MSP and wanted to know and learn for other people with this model car. I look at the MSP forum cause that is all I want to know from other owners, like mods or problems to there cars.

Why are moderators mad at the MSP forum? This forum is for MSP info I thought and its not like people cant see for themselves what the MSP owners are talking about.

It's not like you won't be able to post MSP specifics any more...you just drop them into a subfolder. That makes a ton of sense. There are a lot of MSP owners that may not be enthusiasts, that are going to ask stupid questions w/o searching. So we make a Noob room, and people that are willing to help (like mods and forum vets) can help these people out. That ALONE would clean some things up. Then Specific sections for MSP racing. This should help the database work faster (if it's programmed how I think it might be...), hence the site loads faster. It also makes browsing faster and easier...I swear to you, if it weren't for the better I wouldn't support it. I *pay* for this site (it doesn't say it...but I do) and I want only the best.

I'd like to see something like:

1283 spark plugs -> Call NAPA for 2k3 Mazdaspeed to check if they have them.
Check voicemail about progressive calling
Get DirectTV installed.
Clean out interior of car & take battery out of the back.

I'd like to see something like:

Yes I agree, and Greg should have his own section...JK Greg!

That will not work, I had it that way on our forum. Some of the threads wont get attencion and some of them will. Youll get dead forums. I think keeping it the way it is is fine. All we need to do is add and see what kind of traffic you get on them. Then after you see this you can add as needed.

see, the main problem with the msp section, is the fact that people post EVERYTHING in this specific forum...

i mean, "i beat THIS car"," i washed my msp", and other stuff that belongs in other sections.

it's simple, if it has to do with performance, it goes in performance...if there is a pic attached, it goes into photo/video, s*** like that.

Thats exactly right , and then youll get dead forums like the Mazda6 one.

Yea guys seriously the admins need to break down the MSP section. The above ideas are good.

Kill Section

Mods

Dealer

Things like that...

im not tryin to be a smart ass.. but seriously.. if people wanna see what a injen intake is all about.. and the go to the performance section.. woudlnt it be nice to see a pic of one too?

Well your getting picky but that ok...cause that would be cool, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. A picture/vid section would be cool too.

I'd like to see the MSP section broken down somehow.

But I don't go to the P5 section to see what P5 owners are doing to their P5s, because it may not pertain to my car. I post mods to my MSP in the MSP section due to the fact that most people want to discuss all the threads on on main page. And some people don't have time to search through all the threads in every section. I think that the suggestion above is great, so I know where I can go to get MSP related mods without having to sift through the 6s mods too. If we do the above and keep the active threads frame, it would be just fine I think,

So, who wants a grounding kit?

(rofl)

Very true stuff though. Many people need to keep in mind this is not simply an MSP community it is a protege community. Get out of just one Area and explore.
Oh yeah, and stop posting s*** that doesn't belong in the MSP secion. (thumb)

The MSP is part of a baord that has those sections. Post them inthe right place and theres no need to break down.

The site is broken down for that reason. The problem is MSp owners think anydamn thing they post so long as it has the acronym MSP in it belongs in the MSP section.

IT DOES NOT!

Something specific to the MSP is one thing but general audio , turbo, perfomance, and handling questions and comments are not specific to this car.

Thousands of cars have audio system, would you rather get an MSP members answers about issues with your stuff or mine. They have an MSP but I have audio experience.

Thousands of cars have turbos, would you rather a MSP member answer a question about the MSP's turbo workings or Spoolin, Keith form Flyin protege, and Perf.

The site as a hole has an amazing about of knowledge to lend. The MSP section has far less. Simple numbers.
Sure you guys are lucky to have several knowledgable members that also have MSP'S but there ae THOUSANDS of other members that can also can apply even more expiernce and knowledge that do not own an MSP!
