MSP Headlight Situation

12' White Pearl MS3
So my MSP's headlights have a weird "foggyness" going on. Its not the typical oxidation you see going on. Its like a million little white specs on the lights. I cant tell whether it is on the outside or the inside. I've looked through threads but I cant find anything on my problem. I dont have pics now but I will tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen to their MSP???

After installing solid motor mounts I have noticed some white dust inside my headlights, as if the reflectors are rubbing or something. I need to take them apart and remove the reflector.

Yeah the white dust sounds about right but it doesnt wipe off from either sides. and I have regular motor mounts so i dont think thats my problem

i would recommend opening them up... OR buying new (black) headlights.

ebay: depo headlights

then consider retrofitting:

theretrofitsource.com

and end up with something like this:

or this

... well that's what i'm doing at least. (my next project for the coming months)

How to:
1. Heat oven to 200 degrees and cut it off
2. Put headlight in oven for 15 mins
3. Seperate headlights
4. Put hid junk in
5. Put junk back in the oven
6. Put the lens back on.
7. Sweet headlights

Now that is ******* sexy. I love the black P5 lights, only way to improve that would be to tint the turn signal.

i dig these, but i'm not sure if i like how the shroud is recessed behind the part of the light... almost as if they had to force it to fit. apparently the kit is direct match/bolt in place so i guess we'll see how that works out.

The black P5 lights are about double the cost of the black sedan headlights, that's without the projector setup.

I would like to do the retrofits one of these days, but not right at the moment. So no one has had this happen to them?

OK, I spent a whole afternoon polishing my lens and they are still not acceptable. After seeing what ebay lights cost, I am pissed I ever spent the time. But holy crap, Swirl's lights are beautiful. I want. Did he ever reveal how much? Or do you just have to contact that lightwerkx place?
