MSP Hard piping

I know there is a few companies out there that say they are coming out with hard piping in a short while(spool,Ion perf.),but,if I could offer you guys a "NICE" hard pipe kit for the MSP shipped to your door within 2 weeks, who would be down?
If I see enough interest by monday the 14th ,then I will continue on with what I am building.

Alright ,here is a little info on what I propose.
The last few days ,my fabricator and I have been working on hard piping for my MSP and tossing around the idea of making more than just one kit for me.
The kit would consist of 2.5" aluminum mandrel bent piping that is powder coated ,has all silicone hosing for the connections, and, all the required clamps and hardware for installation.
If there are at least a few of you guys who want this, then I WILL BUILD and SHIP this to you.
For those of you who know how much it takes to get all this work done, you will appreciate what I am doing.
We were thinking of doing a run of 5 initial orders for the piping.
Some of the parts we are using are very expensive on their own.
If you have ever tried to have powdercoating done, you know its not cheap. If you have ever bought "TRUE" silicone hose, you know it's not cheap.
I don't do anything that I wouldn't run on my own car,and being a proven show winner,I won't use anything that doesn't perform well and look good at the same time.
Now,here comes the next question?
If I do build these, what color powdercoating would you guys prefer?
You will have three choices, but I will only do all of the first run in one color.Color choices would be gloss black,a gloss silver which closely resembles the color of our strut bar ,or a darker gunmetal color called black chrome.I would like to see who likes what color.

I would also need to know what color you would like the silicone connectors in.Once again, you have three colors to choose from. Also ,once again,I will only do one of these three colors for the initial run.The colors are Red,Blue,Or traditional black.

I will tell you that I lean heavily toward the silver or gunmetal piping W/ the black connectors(with the red coming in a close second on either color)I don't personally see a reason to ever even consider the blue connector's(except for the 03.5 blue MSP)

I would like your input as soon as possible,as we are working on this right now,and I need to know whether or not to build more while we are doing mine.

These pipes will fit all stock configurations as well as the MSP's with the Injen Intake. It will be made to fit the stock BPV on the initial run, so as not to create confusion on custom orders with different BOV flanging. If we continue to build these and you guys would like a different BOV flange instead of the stock style ,we will work that out.

Please tell me what you think?
I am very serious about this, unlike many that throw out ideas and never follow through.
The more input you give the better and smoother this will go.
"One Reminder:If I build these ,they will be done and out the door in under 14 days!I am not INJEN!Almost done, almost done,etc...)

The cost on this piping would be around $300.As I said before, the powdercoating and silicone hoses make up most of the cost of this item.

Let me know guys,Matt:)

matt i thought i would never see the day you set up another group buy

Well Steph, this isn't a GB!I am the manufacturer of this part.I know when it will be done and when it will ship!LOL!I can not help the fact that I am a performance freek and I love to help everyone out to boot.

This piping will be for those of us who are not ready to implement a FMIC,so YES it is designed to use the stock IC.

Heathen23,I am gauging interest for those who are "dead serious" about doing hard piping. This way I can produce multiple kits at once and keep the cost of everything as low as possible.

So far none of you except 1338 has offered up what color combo you would like to see?
Not too often does a manufacturer offer you a choice on these things when they are being produced,so speak up!

LilItaly,I pm'd you!

Craig,I'll be calling shortly.

03speedlsd,Yes,it will look very similar to that except W/O the BOV.In that pic though, the pipind looks as if its painted and not powdercoated as mine will be.

I hope this answers all the questions up to this point.

Anyone who is "DEAD SERIOUS" about getting some of this piping, please let me know.I am getting mine done regardless. If you guys want some of these ,I really need to know so we can put them all together at the same time and have them coated at the same time to reduce the cost.If you wait and want me to make them later then the cost of fabrication and coating will change which will change the cost of production and in the end the cost to you guys.

Hope all this helps so let me know,Matt:D

Sorry but im fallin kinda short on cash or would try to purchase. Seems like another sweet mod for the msp that would not affect the warranty. Good pricing. Cant wait for pics and dynos :-) My opinion on the color is silver piping with red connectors to match the sweet injen CAI that everyone should and will purchase :-)

Hey Force, It's not painted, it's powder coated the same silver as the strut bar. Powder coater didn't have enough time to match the Spicy O. I know I am broke and cheap, but damn, I won't stoop as low as to paint it(rice)...Later,

P.S. Good luck with the kit.

i am interested as long as you dont go with red piping.
Price also depends upon my interest.
do you think this will void a waranty if something happens to the turbo?

So far it looks like everyone has agreed that silver piping W/black connectors would work the best for the color scheme of our cars.
I totally agree with this myself.

03speedlsd,I diidn't mean to say your piping looked bad,the pic just doesn't do it justice i'm sure!I personally would love to have your set-up with the FMIC and the BOV but my plans don't allow it at this time.

As for warranty issues,As long as you don't remove the clamp from the BPV vacum(SP?) line during the install, then I see no reason why there would be any warranty concerns. We are simply replacing the weak factory piping ,with a better, stronger, nicer looking part. Not to mention that we will eliminate any flex from the pressure created by the turbo. There will be no more broken or leaking IC piping with this kit.

I am just taking the initiative that no one else would on getting these pipes out to you guy's.I am not trying to make money as I still work my 9-5 M-F job and still am finding the time to do "A LITTLE EXTRA" for the protege community.I am always willing to go the extra mile when it comes to helping out my fellow pro owner's.This should be evident by how much I set up for us.I just hope that you guy's appreciate what I ,and other members do for this board.

If there are any other questions ,let them be known!
Matt:)

I think silver pipes with black connectors will look the best. But then again, I can't afford to spend $300 on something like this for quite a while, so my vote shouldn't count.

Yo BC,$300 ,give or take $25 dollars each way is what the price will be.I am waiting to see what my price break will be on ordering the silicone adapters for the kit.It all depends on the "TOTAL" cost of the build up.

Matt:)
