What color decals do you think that would look best on the yellow 2003.5? we're talking door decals, 6" by 1".

Repeat after me, "The best decals are NO decals!"

There now, isn't that better?

Anytime you think anything different, ask a friend to hit you over your head with a big mallot (smash) This should bring you back to your senses.

Let me know if I can help in any other way. :D

anyone have an opinion worth reading?

by the way, the question was what color do you think is best, not what your personal opinion was. OK? thank you.

I hate to say it but it's a tough call. Maybe black is your only real option(sorry to state the only obvious combo). It will look very harsh on the yellow background so it depends how noticeable you want the vinyl.

You are in MI so I say blue and gold is a nice mix but probably not for a car;)

No need to be so testy pdhaudio, just because I think decals ruin a car doesn't mean my opinion isn't worth hearing.

I could've said, "Decals suck!" or "Why are you getting decals, their lame!", but that would have been boring and stupid. Learn to differentiate between someone who is just having a little fun with their posts, and those that are complete idiots.

That being said, do you see Ferraris or Porsches with decals? Real cars don't need to have flashy cheap looking decals. The beauty of the car speaks for itself.

Just my opinion. I'm sure you'll get lots more responses on here from people who like defacing their car too, so don't you worry your little head. In the meantime, just relax and have fun. :)

Ahhhh.....I missed that subtlety in my first AND second post. Must be late. OOPS.

Sorry I probably wouldn't have responded had I noticed that......probably. :p

thanks guys, i was gonna go with black, but that can get a little too obvious, i was thinking either white or gray. hmm.

White may be good as long as you want something subtle. Black or purple would be my other choices.

What do the decals say?

If you're advertising a business, go with a darker hue to make the decal stand out. Titanium grey or a metallic to match the wheels and Mazda emblems would be a good start and would be my second choice (first for me would be no decals, since I'm a 40+ manager in a fortune 100 company... when I take someone to lunch it can be serious... but that issue was already handled above).

If you're going for the Sponsor "look", remember that sponsors want their name to pop out at you - a brighter contrast or plainer "look" may be necessary - look at black, navy, even burgandy maybe. OR... use actual sponsor decals (could look a little NASCAR though...)

For a more subtle appearance (though if you're considering decals, subtle may not be the "look" you're going for...) check an orange, white, or shade-on-shade yellow (pastel version of your color would look slick).

Another option with any color would be a shadowed appearance. As an example: get the same decal in both orange and white, apply the white one first then the orange slightly off center to the white, giving a rim of white on the one side of the orange lettering - you can substitute any two colors, I just used orange and white as an example, perhaps a "creamsicle" example...
