Mr Rogers Died.

i came home for lunch on monday and my 2 year old neice was watching him. I thought to myself the generation gap and how she was glued to his every word like I was growing up. He will be missed... :(

What a great man. I LOVED him as a kid.
And of course it is entirely innapropriate here, but "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" with Eddie Murphy is pure comedy.

But yeah, I still remember all the cool s***.

Like remember how the one picture on his wall would change to show some educational film?

From all accounts, he really was as nice of a guy as he portrayed on TV. That was just him being himself. I saw an interview with him last year. I teared up just watching him. It is so nice, and rare to find a truly good, honest, pure hearted person, someone for whom the greatest gain of self is assisting in the gain of others. Although he is gone, I'm glad someone down at PBS (geniuses who shaped my childhood) gave him the opportunity to do what he did.

Bye, Mr. Rogers.

Do realize that he made 900 shows. To put that in perspective the simpsons is the longest running show on tv right now. 11 years they have been on and they just did their 300th episode. That alone is amazing for tv now. I for one was very sad to see this man have to battle with such a debilitating illness as stomach cancer. He was such a good man to all people, and will be missed for a very very long time.
