MP5 turbo build

you can run it and see if you get any different results. without the boost controller. but if it remains the same with low vacuum. then you have a leak elsewhere. you can also run the vac line to the wastegate , then pinch the line to the wastegate at idle to see if you vacuum changes. if it changes then your wastegate is blown. if it doesnt change the reading, then the leak is elsewhere in your system.

There is no boost at idle. You should be seeing -20 vacuum.

-12 is definitely a vacuum leak. should be sitting between -19 to -22 at idle.

. That's not 100 percent true -12 could be good it all depends on his boost gauge if his boost gauge measures boost in psi and vacuum in psi then -12 is gud if his gauge measures vacuum in inches of mercury HG then -12 is bad

its measures in psi it the glowshift -15psi to 30 psi

just made sure and glowshift said that it all in psi so it is -12psi

Well I just did mine on my lunch break I pulled the line and I went for a ride boost number crept up past 3 but I felt like I hit fuel cut and I did not have any boost still then I borrowed a mighty vac pump put it on the wastegate and sure enough it does not hold any pressure my wastegate is either blown or is stuck open I will remove the turbo and check the flapper on Sunday

will this fit my car?
