Hey, have any of you moved the locations of the sub in the trunk to increase trunk size......my girlfriends massage bed fit into the trunk of the loaner protege es i had, but can't in the mp3 due o the large ass sub......any suggestions?

man, does anyone besides my fellow mp3 owner have even the slightest clue on this subject....will moving the sub into a different place in the trunk change my bass sound?

during road trips i have removed mine. its only two wing nuts and a conector. some time if i have something large in my trunk i will remove th bolt on the right and swing the sub against the left side of the trunk. as for moving it totally i havent thought about it. its massive no matter where u put it.

Well, i guess i'm up the creek on this one.....i'll have to move it myself through trial and error. I hope it fits somewhere near the side of the trunk.

I don't know what the set up of the MP3 is and what the trunk is like but I am looking into a custom box that fits in to the side wall of the hatch area of a p5. You could look at the thread subjected "Hidden Sub" and this may help you. Again this may not work for you because I do not know if there is enough rom on the side walls for a box.

The sub will almost fit at the back of the trunk to one side. Don't know if this will give u enough room. You will hafta take the metal brackets off of the sub and find another way to mount.
