I was parked next to a Mitsubishi Montero. I tried to lock my car while standing less than a foot behind my car. It would not work. I had to stand right beside the driver's door before it would work. After the Montero left, it worked fine. Very strange.

Hold the remote under your chin and open your mouth. You'll get more range.

It may sound crazy, but everyone should try it! It almost doubles the range of your keyless entry transmitter.

k, it has nothing to do with opening your mouth. touhcing it to your chin.. maybe.. but opening your mouth? think about it...just think of logic... please.

and by the way you have to touch your chin... not hold it under.... some people have said that it will help act as an antenna..

Bodies make good antennas. We used to make freshman hold the TV antenna when reception was poor.

I have braces....So I could start my car from almost a mile away lol

Your right, it is better explained as touch your chin.
And yes it can almost double remote transmitters range.
I played around with it one day and found I got an extra few feet from also opeinig my mouth, wierd but cool.
