Mazda Rev It Up Competition registration offically OPEN!!!

I am all signed up for San Francisco on the 29th at Alameda Point. Should be fun, my first chance to get out on a track.

Signed up and confirmed at Charlotte, Did one of these for Cadillac ( a little different but still got to flog brand new cars on a track) also for Honda and BMW. I think more manufacturers should have these events.

Automatic Tranny=lame
IMHO
"Will everyone be driving the same kind of car?
You bet. Everyone gets to compete in an all-new MAZDA6 sports sedan. All cars will be equipped with automatic transmissions, by the way, so you can concentrate on what you learned in the Skill Clinics and not worry about pesky distractions like gear changes. "

OH........ automatic 6's....

eh, whatever, no big deal, it's not like you need to peel out to have fun in autox.....

besides, with everyone handicapped w/ automatics, the skill discrepancy between seasoned and n00b autoxers will be even more apparent ;)

Man I'd go but I'd have to drive 6 hours to get the the closest one. Bastards any how. Why can't I ever live close to the good stuff.

Damn this sucks- I wish we could use OUR cars. Mazda 6 owners will have a huge advantage beings they drive the car every day and know it's limitations, etc. Oh well, it's a cool idea anyway!

bah, they'll have NO CLUE how this car will behave on an autocross course, unless they autocrossed it already. What you do on an autocross course is completely different from on the street or on a racetrack.

besides, if everyone's driving the same spec cars, it'll be ALL DRIVER SKILLS that will determine who wins, a MUCH fairer deal for most participants :)

I'm signed up for Belmont Park (horse racing) in Elmont for August 8th #14B (10am start). Cool.
