Make the rub go away!

Ok, I'm having slight rubbing issues, I have some Rays Wolf77's that are the stock size 17in by 7, with a slightly different offset. The tires are Bridgestone potenza RE750 at the stock size of 215 45, and it's lowered on Eibach springs, the 1.25in ones. What is happening is the rear tires are catching the edge of the wheel well and pushing the metal out a tiny bit, by doing so they are damageing the tire.

These pics show the damage, the ripple in the wheel well metal is where it has been manipulated back to the it's orginally position several times, but every time it eventually gets pushed back out. These tires are brand new so you can't see the damage that it causes, it's usually small but it biulds after a time.

Basicly I'm wondering what i should do about it, and what my choices. One of the big reason I went with the stock size tires was in the hopes of avoid such complications. Would new struts help out? or is there something I could manipulate to fix it?

you shouldve researched the offset of the rims before getting aftermarket ones... i made the same stupid mistake and just ended up sending the rims back...its too dangerous to drive around and have to worry about the fender causing a blow out...

send the wheel to a machine shop to have the mounting base shaved off a couple of mm's. I did that to my previous wheels. From a +42mm to a +47mm. How much you can take off will depend on how much material is left on the base mount.

Also, I had the same problem when I installed my Volks with +45mm and Nitto 555 tires....I destroyed the fender. I changed to Toyo Proxes T1Rs and the problem disappeared...I was able to lower the car back again. The Nittos were too square.

I had the same problem with the previous wheels I had on mine.. Although it was the tires causing the rubbing.. So I switched from the 205/50s to 215/45s on the stock wheels.. Hasnt rubbed yet even with a car load of people..

Seriously, how hard is it to just roll the sharp edge out of the way.

To be quiet honest I'm not sure, what would be the best way to do it with the least amount of risk of jacking up the paint or something else?
