Maff's STS2 Build

The Kooks are actually pretty good and are a much better street driving tire than the Azenis.

I think you can't go wrong with any of the top tires (RT-615, Z212, RE-01R) you can just go more right with some of them.

So...
Discount tire has both the kooks and the RT615s in 205/50, edge racing only has the Kooks. Anyone know who carries 225/45 15 hankooks? If I've got to choose, I'm probably going to go w/ the Azenis over the 205 kooks, but if I can find the 225 kooks, they're a little shorter and wider (mounted on a 7" wheel) than the Azenis, so if I can find some of those, my opinion may sway.

Any help?

Thanks. Now to see about getting them here by Saturday. Fingers crossed :D

Well, I've still gotta talk to Luke tonight, but I know what my options are now. Thanks so much errrrbody!

Alright, we're going with the Kooks. I just ordered them, so I should have them by Friday. East Coast did not have them in stock, but www.thetireshoppe.com did. With any luck, I'll have them on the car by Saturday. Korey, you still want my RT-215s?

absolutly i will stick around here late on friday so we can get those tires on

Sweet deal dude, I appreciate it. I figured you'd want to just so you can get the 215s. Brian still has a couple of good tread ones that I bought from him but don't need anymore. You can have those too if you'd like as spares

i'll take any tires i can get my hands on lol.

I just realized something....

I'll probably have to transport them HIW style... I wonder if a 225/45-15 will fit in the trunk lol

HIW = Healthcare Inspectorate Wales?

do tell, I can't really picture that lol

don't you wish you got a miada with a trunk rack now? haha

No...I don't see how a trunk rack would help me transport 4 gynormous tires.

And HIW stands for Hope It Works, like kcbhiw, founder, manager, janitor, and his own b**** in HIW Motorworks :p

I've seen 4 race tires in a Toyota MR2.. if they can do it, you can do it. As long as you can get one in the trunk you're all set :)

Thanks...................

HIW style = 3 in the passenger seat, 1 on the package shelf.

I drive them to the event, to work sometimes, maybe the store when I'm feeling spry... etc etc ;)

I keep the 'street' in STREET Touring ;)
