Lowering-Mazda Parts

I know this probably has been answered before but its really hard to search for "mazda lowering" and find what you are looking for. I've decided to go with 17's and lower the car. For the lowering I want to use the parts Mazda makes. Does anyone know if they are decent. Also do I have to get all the parts: springs, struts, sway bars? I planned on getting springs and sway bars but do I need the struts?

Well first off what car do you have? If you have a PRotege then you can swap out the parts for MP3 or Mazdaspeed Protege parts, which will be expensive. IF you have a P5 then you are out of luck for the most part. I may be wriong but as dar as I know the P5 suspension is different and will not directly fit a P5. THe closest you can get for Springs is going to be getting a set of Racing Beat springs(same as what mazda uses on the MP3 and MSP).

Not true....the parts are the same.....

and you can get the sway bars as well right off of the mazdastuff site as well.....so yes...if you have a p5 you can also have the mp3/msp suspension.

The suspensions are identical, ecept for the racing beat parts the MP3 uses. but a P5 can easily be upgraded to an MP3 suspension. The springs struts and sways are direct bolt on pieces. Thank you , you may carry on now.
